Boston oh lovely Boston

First of all Boston is beautiful. I am so happy we moved here. It's been raining a lot, but I still think it's absolutely gorgeous. I love being by sailboats (though I don't sail) and the water. Besides the seafood, I think being by so many harbors and boats gives this area a constant upper-class vacation feel. And I dig it.
I've been searching for a job in which to flex my writing skills and grow some more, but so far all for not. It's only been three weeks though so I'm not in a state of panic yet. Things are tough here with the Globe and the Herald reporters all vying for the same jobs as me. But I'm not despairing yet! :)
Gary is gone on his first TDY, which I'm sure is an eye-opener for him as well as a great experience. He's in Colorado Springs, but unlike Oklahoma, I have friends in Boston. :) ha! Sad, but true, besides the beautiful Erica Griffith who is the only treasure I met in OKC. So I have no dull moments really without Gary here, much unlike his three-month deployment last year while I was stuck in OKC. His trips will be frequent and I think it'll be very good for us both. First we'll get to miss each other a lot, and second, I can get this book proposal on my dad's time in Somalia done. I finally have redone and nearly 100% completed the sample chapter for the book proposal. This time I actually like it. :) It's only been the fourth chapter I've tried haha...
So anyway, that's my story for now. I'll keep it all updated for whoever is reading!
